The Your Phone app is getting a new feature update available only through the Windows Insider program. The new update will allow those running Windows 10 Insider builds to respond to notifications directly using the Your Phone app. First spotted by Neowin, the new feature was announced on Twitter by Microsoft Senior Program Manager Aarthi Hatter.

Hatter’s announcement comes on the heels of several minor bug fixes and performance updates to the Your Phone app on Windows 10. Currently, Your Phone displays your phone’s battery level and your phone’s current display background. It’s expected that the Your Phone app will able to make and receive calls from your Windows 10 PC sometime soon.

Microsoft may have a special Your Phone app feature reveal at the October 2nd Surface event, but that is purely speculation. At the moment, the update is only available for those running Windows Insider builds, but it should be generally available in an upcoming Your Phone app update.
