According to Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft Teams will soon allow meeting organizers to assign seats to participants in Together Mode. Together Mode was incorporated into teams to enhance the user experience. For instance, availing it for all meeting sizes as well as allowing users to customize Together Mode scenes for more fun meetings.

Previously, users could only assign the presenter or meeting organizer a seat using the custom scene for Together Mode. However, with this new ability that is supposed to reach general availability sometime in September, meeting organizers will now be able to control and decide where each meeting attendee sits.

According to the folks at Neowin, “Microsoft is currently targeting those who use Teams on desktop PCs and Mac. The Together Mode improvement will initially be available for these two platforms only”.
