As we saw with the latest Windows 10 Insider preview builds, Microsoft keeps adding new features for PC users with every new release, which is very exciting for Windows Insiders. At some point, Microsoft will stop introducing new features to focus on bug fixes and polishing, until the Windows Insider team releases the Fall Creators Update RTM build to Insiders.

In the past, the team has often been coy about which build is RTM before it eventually becomes obvious to Windows Insiders (it’s a clear sign when Microsoft keeps releasing cumulative updates for a specific build). For the upcoming Fall Creators Update though, the company should start to do things differently. Answering a question about the upcoming RTM build on Twitter, Windows Insider chief Dona Sarkar just said that the team will clearly announce it:

This is good news for Windows Insiders, perhaps especially for non-Windows Insiders, and writers like us who do our best to make the Windows Insider Program as clear as possible for everyone (and that’s not always an easy job). In the meantime, we’re looking forward to get new preview builds this week, so keep it locked to OnMSFT if you don’t want to miss anything!
