The finalists for the 2nd annual Windows Developer Awards have just been announced, and you have until April 16 to vote for the different nominees. The five different categories include “Application Creator of The Year” and “Design Innovator of the Year,” and there are some pretty cool names in the different lists.

The note-taking app Penbook, which is currently free for a limited time is one of the four finalists in the “Application Creator of the Year category,” along with Todoist, Affinity Designer and Plex. Cuphead, the retro-looking platformer that already won many awards also made it to the Game Creator of the Year category.

As you know, Microsoft wants Windows 10 to be the best-looking Windows ever, and the company shared its new “Fluent Design” guidelines with developers last year. If you’re interested in app design, you may want to check out the finalist in the Design Innovator of the Year category, which include the Mixer third-party app Mixer go as well as the music app Aurora Music.

There is also a “Ninja Cat of the Year” category for developers that “exemplified Microsoft’s core values while making significant contributions to the craft of Windows development in the past year.” Unfortunately, only Microsoft employees can vote for the nominees who are still unknown. Anyway, make sure to vote for your favorites until April 16, and Microsoft said that it will announce all the winners during its Build developer conference in May.
