You can now pre-download Anthem’s VIP Demo on Xbox One before the rush

Anthem’s VIP Demo can now be downloaded ahead of its activation this weekend. While the download is completely free, all gamers will need an activation code to play. This code is only available for subscribers of Origin Access and EA Access and to those who have digitally pre-ordered the full Anthem game.

Those who pre-ordered a physical version of the game are being instructed to contact the retailer where they bought it to get their code.

The Anthem VIP Demo will go live for all participants on January 25th. Here’s its official description:

Experience the world of Anthem ahead of launch during the Anthem Demo weekend. Suit up with the Ranger Javelin and unlock another Javelin of your choice for a preview of the adventures waiting in Anthem. Unleash Your Power. In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all humankind. Only you stand between the Dominion and the ancient power they covet. Team up as heroes in this cooperative action-RPG from BioWare and EA.

Anthem is expected to be one of the biggest video game launches of 2019. It arrives on Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles on February 22nd and digital pre-orders are currently open.
