You can now play 10 hours of Gears of War 4 for free through June 15

Gears of War 4 was one of the biggest Xbox/Windows 10 exclusive games to be released last year, and if you have yet to play it you can now try it for free for 10 hours through June 15. The free trial follows the release of a massive content update called Rise of the Horde earlier this week, so it's really a perfect time to try the third-person shooter developed by The Coalition.

If the limited trial will give you access to the full Versus and Horde experiences, be aware that you’ll only be able to play the campaign’s opening Act. However, everything you do in the trial, including achievements, campaign progression and rewards will be yours to keep if you decide to buy the full game.

Just like Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War 4 didn't receive the same critical acclaim that the previous Xbox 360 titles enjoyed back in the day, but it remains a very solid shooter and one of the best-looking games you can play on the Xbox One (Gears of War 4 is one of the few titles that supports High Dynamic Range on the Xbox One S). Last but not least, the full game is currently just $29.99 ($30 off) on the Xbox Store.
