You can now manually download Surface Pro and Surface Laptop Driver and Firmware updates from the web

If you’re the owner of a new Surface Laptop or Surface Pro, you can now download both firmware and driver updates for the devices via the Microsoft Download Center. Just like with other devices in the Surface family, these downloads are made to help users and IT admins to manage Microsoft Surface devices in bulk, or download and grab up the latest updates via another computer if a Surface device is offline and unable to connect to Windows Update (via Thurrott.com)

Weighing in at 220.9 MB, You can find the first set of downloads for the Surface Laptop here. Also at 220.9 MB in size, the other downloads for the Surface Pro can be found via the link here.

These downloads are in the .MSI format, and the required OS version for the Surface Pro and Laptop is Windows 10 Version 1703, build 16053, otherwise known as the Creators Update. Once you download, you also can selectively install or deploy individual drivers, or use the MSI to install all relevant drivers automatically.
