Microsoft’s Planner and Teams services gained some added functionality today with the launch of Planner notifications within Teams.

Now, whenever a user is assigned a task in Microsoft Planner, they’ll immediately receive a notification in both the Conversation and Activity panes of Microsoft Teams whether they’re using the service on the web or from within an app.

The new Microsoft Teams notifications contain the title of the task, who assigned the user to it, which plan the task belongs in, and a link to open the task within Microsoft Teams for more information on it.

This new functionality is now live for users of either Office 365 Enterprise or Office 365 Education.
