It’ll be an interesting feat to see how talented writers and artists pull a story out of this video game franchise, but judiging from this synopisis, they’re off to a good start.

The hyper-powered world of Crackdown has made its way to the comic page! In the not-so-distant future, civilized society is more plugged-in and interconnected than ever — but criminal organizations are growing more connected as well, forming unholy alliances, and plotting for an unprecedented campaign against the world. When a series of devastating blackout attacks plunge major metropolitan areas into darkness and chaos, the global population is terrified, traditional law enforcement is overwhelmed — and it’s up to The Agency, an elite international crime-fighting task force, to restore peace and deliver justice, by any means necessary.

Dynamite artist Ricardo Jaime took to Twitter to update fans about the upcoming relese.

Comic officianidos and fans of the Crackdown franchise can preorder the first issue through the Dynamite Comics website for $3.99. The official release of the miniseries is slated for February 20, 2019, which should dovetail nicely with the final release of the game on Xbox One on February 15, 2019.
