Microsoft followers and fans alike are probably more than familiar with both Mike Ybarra and Kareem Choudary, who have both been at the company for quite some time.  A new report out from Windows Central is now indicating that the two Microsoft employees are due for a promotion, and will soon be in Vice Presidential positions.

According to the report, sources who are familiar with Microsoft’s plans indicate that Mike Ybarra and Kareem Choudhry will solidify their spots at Microsoft in permanent positions as Corporate Vice Presidents. The move would make sense, since Mike Ybarra is seen as the face of Xbox, and is very active with the community on both Twitter and Beam, and even has oversight on teams which bring Xbox One’s backward compatibility, the Xbox functionality in Windows 10.

Kareem Choudhry, meanwhile, is the former head of Kinect development, and more recently became the Xbox Director of Software Engineering. He was featured in Microsoft’s Project Scorpio trailer, and famously dubbed the upcoming Microsoft console “it’s a monster.”

If the reports hold up to be true, we wish Kareem and Mike well in their new positions at Microsoft! As always, we will be following this story closely, and will be here to report on more official developments. Until then, stay tuned, as we will be here to bring you all your Xbox news and information.
