Xbox One without Kinect for $399.99 is now available on the Microsoft Store
In order to lure more customers, Microsoft is now offering a Kinect-less bundle of the Xbox One console. Without the motion detection system, the Xbox One can be bought for $399.99 — a decrement of $100 on its regular bundle.
A couple of weeks ago, when Microsoft announced that it will start offering a Kinect-less Xbox One bundle, its decision met with a lot of controversy. Some people thought that by removing Kinect from the Xbox One system, Microsoft’s vision to make the Xbox One an entertainment ecosystem was dead. Whereas, others were rather pleased by it as, thanks to the new price, it competes even better against rival PS4. Microsoft explained that a Kinect-free console was all about giving consumers a choice.
However, Microsoft may have a hard time convincing developers who were making games for Kinect device. Though, Xbox One without Kinect has shown a performance boost, as well as a rise in demand. The new bundle is available for $399.99 on the Microsoft US Store, and £349.99 on Microsoft’s UK Store.Further reading: Kinect, Microsoft Store, Xbox One
