Xbox One sees ‘unprecedented demand’ during pre-orders on Amazon
During the Xbox E3 press event in Los Angeles yesterday, Microsoft revealed the pricing on the new Xbox One entertainment console and pre-orders for the device became available at select retailers like Amazon.com. Now, it appears that after only four hours, Amazon is reporting an “unprecedented demand” for the new entertainment console. Of course, Microsoft is thrilled to hear about this.
“We were thrilled by the unprecedented demand we saw for Xbox One today. In the first four hours of preorder availability, we sold through most of our Xbox One Day One Edition inventory. Customers eager to get an Xbox One should visit our store at Amazon.com/xboxone to ensure they keep up-to-date on the latest information. We are excited to be working with Microsoft to deliver the next generation of games and entertainment,” Amazon’s John Love stated. He’s the Director of US Video Games & Software at Amazon.com.
Microsoft’s response to this? Microsoft would like to thank everyone who has interest in the new console. “It’s been an incredible day for Xbox and we’re grateful for your support,” Microsoft stated a blog post. The software giant revealed that the new Xbox One console would launch in November of this year and run for $499.Further reading: Microsoft, Xbox One
