It’s been a big day for Microsoft with Nokia launching its latest devices in the form of the Lumia 1520 and 2520. But the biggest news was, of course, the release of the next-generation gaming console. The Xbox One has owned the news cycle today.
While phone and console releases are unrelated in reality, that hasn’t stopped some folks from imagining what a combination of the two would look like. O2 Guru TV took the idea one step further. With the aid of some 3D rendering, a device was cooked up that is absolutely stunning.
The six-inch handset packs a dual-boot operating system that encompasses both Windows Phone 8 and the Xbox OS. The edges feature controller buttons and the front has a 15 MP Kinect camera. It’s all completely beautiful and totally unrealistic.
Still, the two-and-a-half minute video allows one to dream. However, gamers will have to settle for apps that Microsoft has made available to various mobile platforms like Android, iOS and, of course, Windows Phone.
