Layers of Fear on Xbox One

Xbox One owners are spoilt for choice this week with several video games debuting on the system. Batman: The Telltale Series, Risk: Urban Assault, and Dead Island Retro Revenge all came out today. F1 2016 is also now available to pre-order. Joining these titles are Battleship and Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition, both of which can be bought, downloaded, and played right now.

Battleship is a video game version of the classic board game. It features both offline and online multiplayer. Here’s the official game description: With a modern, dynamic and interactive 3D board, BATTLESHIP brings the classic franchise to a new level for a memorable experience.

Deploy your fleet and shoot at your opponent’s grid to find and destroy enemy ships before yours are sunk. Enjoy the game you know and love with the Classic mode or get more tactical in a brand new way to play with the “Clash at Sea!” mode.

Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition on the other hand is and action and adventure title with a focus on story and exploration. Here’s the official game description: Layers of Fear is a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration. Delve deep into the mind of an insane painter and discover the secret of his madness, as you walk through a vast and constantly changing Victorian-era mansion. Uncover the visions, fears and horrors that entwine the painter and finish the masterpiece he has strived so long to create.

Layers of Fear: Inheritance expands the plot from Layers of Fear and tells the story of the painter’s daughter, who comes back to her childhood home to face her past. Can she forgive her father, or will she resent all that has happened? Relive her experiences and witness the full scope of the tragedy that has swallowed up the family.
