Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle and behind-the-scenes video revealed at SDCC 2015

Yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2015, Xbox revealed the Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle. The Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle is the original Gears of War for Xbox 360 remastered for the Xbox One. An Xbox and The Coalition event hosted by John DiMaggio, the voice behind Delta squad leader Marcus Fenix, shared details revolving around what went into the development of Gears of War Ultimate Edition.

The Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle is already available for pre-order through the Microsoft Store for $349, and will launch in the U.S. starting Aug. 25th. According to the Xbox Wire, the Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle includes:

  • “Xbox One 500GB Console
  • Xbox One Wireless Controller featuring a 3.5mm stereo headset jack
  • Digital game download of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition in 1080p
  • Early access to the 2016 Gears of War 4 Multiplayer Beta
  • Superstar Cole multiplayer skin
  • 14-day Xbox Live trial.” 

As you can see from the video, everything that made Gears of War a classic on Xbox 360 comes to the Xbox One with a plethora of graphics and gameplay improvements. The Gears of War Ultimate Edition is available in 1080p, with 60 FPS multiplayer, including 19 maps and 6 game modes, 7.1 surround audio, along with 5 never-before-seen campaign chapters for Gears of War.
