Xbox One gamers will soon be able to gift video games to friends

Xbox One X & Controller

A feature Xbox One gamers have been requesting for a while has been the ability to give digital video games to friends. There has been the occasional talk from Microsoft confirming that it was something that they were considering but today on Twitter, the company’s Mike Ybarra stated in a reply to another user that this feature would indeed be coming soon.

It’s unclear at this point if the gifting being discussed is the ability to buy a game for another user or transfer ownership to them, it could even be both. Either way, it’s still welcome news for many Xbox One owners who had been wanting to share titles with those close to them.
