Sunset Overdrive, the open-world third-person shooter that launched exclusively on the Xbox One back in 2014 could soon make its way to Windows PCs. A Windows version of the game has recently been rated by the ESRB, and Windows Central is reporting today that the PC release is “near.”

While Microsoft or developer Insomniac Games have yet to confirm the PC port, an official announcement could be coming at Microsoft’s XO18 event on November 10. With its post-apocalyptic setting, unique art style and fun gunplay, Sunset Overdrive received some quite praise at the time of its Xbox One debut, and the Xbox One exclusivity almost seemed like a missed opportunity. It would be pretty great to see the game support Xbox Play Anywhere and cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10, but a release on Steam would be even better.

Sunset Overdrive is currently free-to-play on Xbox One with Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft previously gave it away with its Games with Gold program back in April 2016. This is really game that deserves to come back to the spotlight, especially after we’ve seen several Microsoft Studios games including ReCore and Super Lucky’s Tale being re-released on Steam.
