The Xbox One 1904 update will be available for Xbox Insiders on the Omega Ring today. This new system update is already available for Xbox Insiders on the Preview Alpha, Beta and Delta rings, and the Omega ring is pretty much the equivalent for the Release Preview Ring in the Windows Insider program. In other words, we’re probably just a couple of days from the public release.
The latest 1904 preview build for the Xbox One will be available to download for both Delta and Omega Insiders starting at 2PM PDT today. Here are the new features included in this update:
- A new virtual mini keyboard
- The ability to reprogram the OneGuide button on the Xbox Media Remote
- A new Restart console button in the Power Center
- Xbox Game Pass Quests are now accessible right from the dash
- With Message Requests, Xbox Live messages from your contacts will be separated from messages sent by strangers
- A new Suggested Uninstall feature will help you choose which games and apps to remove when you need to make space to install new content.
With this new system update heading to the Omega ring, it shouldn’t be long before Microsoft releases it for all Xbox One owners. This could happen as soon as next week, assuming Insiders don’t find any breaking bugs in this latest build.
