One of Microsoft’s trump cards in its battle to lure mobile developers to its new Universal Windows Platform was the purchase of multiplatform developer environment Xamarin.
While it has yet to be seen how effective its Xamarin purchase will be in boosting Universal Windows Platform apps, developers at least interested in creating new and potentially cross-platform mobile experiences can now pick up a full 27-chapter ePub book titled Creating Mobile Apps with Xamarin.Forms Book First Edition.
The book authored by Charles Petzold and published by Microsoft press includes information on animation, MVVM, triggers, behaviors, custom layouts, custom renders, and more on the development of mobile apps.
Eager developers can head over to the Xamarin Windows developers section to download the new book or pick up a copy from GitHub. There is a 28th chapter that is also available online developers can use to conclude the book, and that can be snagged from Microsoft’s Virtual Academy.Further reading: developer, eBook, Microsoft, Mobile, Xamarin
