Windows Server version 1903 also reaches general availability

The Windows team has been on a relative tear lately with the release of several updates to users systems that include the official May 2019 Update as well as several rounds of supportive cumulative rollouts.

Adding to its docket of Windows-related releases for the month of May is Windows Server version 1903.

According to the Microsoft Server blog, the sneak peek window for select IT managers and developers is over and the updated version 1903 will be given to all. New features for 1903 include Windows Server Containers that support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and GPU Acceleration.

The Windows Admin Center Storage experience is also getting some needed attention that now addresses Windows Server 2008 migrations with updated Azure File Sync integration.

Server Core received two new additions in Task Scheduler and Hyper-V manager tools to help improve application compatibility with the Feature on Demand (FOD) augmented server sessions of Server Core.
