Windows Phone powered Nokia Lumia 920, 820 and 620 receiving firmware update


For those of you who own either a Nokia Lumia 920, 820, or 620 handset, powered by Windows Phone, you should have a firmware update waiting to be installed soon!

The firmware update for the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 brings forth improved automatic display brightness adjustment, a fix for intermittent screen blanking during a call, and other performance enhancements. Nokia is also releasing a firmware update for the Lumia 620 which brings forth improved touch screen functions and corrections in multi-touch actions, better voice quality via Bluetooth headsets, enhanced camera performance with corrected exposure when flash is used in bright lighting, and various other performance fixes.

The firmware update build string for the Lumia 920 and 820 is 1232.5957.1308.00xx, while the build string for the Lumia 620 is 1030.6407.1308.00xx.

Nokia is releasing the firmware update "gradually" over the coming weeks and claims that the firmware update version may differ depending on your region, so keep an eye out! You can try to force the update by selecting "phone update" from the settings.
