Customers will be able to purchase both devices from October 3rd onwards at online retailers, as well as in-store.

Additionally, the first 500 customers to purchase the Lumia 830 will get an Office 365 Home Premium subscription for free -- it's a good deal, but will it be enough to attract consumers to switch to Windows Phone? We'll find out soon enough.

As for the costlier Lumia 830, there's a 5-inch display sporting a 1280 by 720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the same Snapdragon 400 chipset is present, alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The mid-range offering comes wit ha 10MP PureView camera with OIS, a 2,200 mAh battery and runs the same Windows Phone 8.1 Denium update.
