Microsoft have today released an update to the Windows Phone desktop app available for Windows 8 and Windows 7 users. The app allows you to manage your Windows Phone 8 device without having to use the Metro app, which isn’t available on Windows 7.

Updates include expanded podcast support, a better update utility for the app, as well as the ability to sync files from more places on your PC.

The update also includes many bug fixes which had been sent to Microsoft via the feedback utility. The app is now more responsive and stable for use. Everything you want from an update!
