The other day, we found out that Windows Phone 8.1 update is running on almost 47 percent of Windows Phone devices worldwide, as per AdDuplex data. It has reached a majority of existing devices as well as the carrier-branded units — just check the Nokia Software Update Page to see if the update is available for your handset. If you’re in possession of a Lumia 925 tied to T-Mobile, there’s a piece of great news for you.
The carrier is rolling out the Windows Phone 8.1 update for the handset as we speak with software version 3051.50009.1439.0017. The Nokia Software Update page lists it as under testing, but the update is rolling out for the carrier, as mentioned in one of the support documents on the carrier’s website.
The update brings all the goodness of Lumia Cyan update, introducing several new features such as Live Tiles customizations, Cortana, improved performance, Action Center and much more.
Don’t panic if the over-the-air update notification is not showing up, the update process can take a few days to fully rollout. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update from Settings > Phone update > Check for Updates.
