Windows Phone 8 to share Windows 8 core

Zac Bowden

Windows Phone 8 has been announced by Microsoft, and along with it information that the operating system will share the same core of that from Windows 8. This allows Microsoft to open it’s doors to a whole new array of Windows Phone features, as well as improvements to Windows Phone itself.

This will allow developers to easily and quickly develop and translate apps from Windows 8 to Windows Phone, or Windows Phone to Windows 8. Allowing both operating systems to practically run the same apps, just like what’s on the iPad. The OS will also run on all the latest and greatest Windows Phone hardware.
