It’s official. Microsoft has revealed that the company will be officially launching Windows Phone 8 in an event that will take place in San Francisco on October 29th of this year. We already knew Microsoft was planning to launch on this date, but now we have official confirmation.
October 29th will NOT be the day you can purchase a Windows Phone 8 device, instead, it will be the day we all learn exactly what features Windows Phone 8 will have. We’ve already seen news reports on HTC and Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 devices, but could other carriers use the event to announce their WP8 device? Microsoft could also use this event to announce availability of the operating system and allow carriers to start pre-orders for Windows Phone 8 devices (in the USA). Stay tuned as we learn more about this event.Microsoft, Windows Phone 8
