Intel has just updated their RealSense camera drivers to improve the Windows Hello feature which allows users to log into their Windows 10 computer using just their face, assuming that their computer has a new RealSense camera built in.
The driver updates fix several issues experienced by users such as delays when waking a device from Sleep or Hibernate and system crashes while using Windows Hello. The update also improves camera functionality when being used in outdoor environments.
While currently limited to the few devices with compatible cameras, Windows Hello has still been getting a lot of press. It was a main focus of the Windows 10 promotional campaign and a recent story about a pair of identical twins who couldn’t fool the login method got a lot of buzz online.
