Today, the Windows Device Recovery Tool received an update to support four new Windows 10 Mobile devices; Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL, Blu Win HD, Blu Win HD LTE, and the MCJ Madosma Q501. These Windows 10 Mobile devices will likely be added to the list of supported devices that will be able to get the upcoming Redstone Insider builds.
In addition to the usual application and bug fixes, the official changelog for the Windows Device Recovery Tool is as follows:
- Support for the Alcatel One Fierce XL Windows 10 Mobile device
- Support for the BLU WIN HD W510U Windows Phone device
- Support for the BLU WIN HD LTE X150Q Windows Phone device
- Support for the MCJ Madosma Q501 Windows Phone device
With some past Windows 10 Mobile builds, like build 10572, it was necessary to rollback your Windows 10 Mobile phone back to Windows Phone 8.1. It seems that Microsoft has worked out the kinks in their builds, so for some Windows 01 Mobile devices, the Windows Device Recovery Tool is no longer required. However, the Windows Device Recovery Tool may be needed if you have a non-Lumia device, as unforeseen problems can arise.
