While the rest of us have to wait a few more days for a possible release on June 1st, those who are an OEM partner or have access to the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) can have an early download of Windows 8 Release Preview. The build number is 8400 and comes in at 2.43GB.
The build string is 8400.0.WINMAIN_WIN8RC.120518-1423 and comes in at a whopping 2.43GB in size. Those who are a part of the OEM or TAP program can access Windows 8 Release Preview before the general public on Microsoft Connect. The rest of us will have to wait until 8400 is leaked or wait until the official release. Windows 8 Release Preview is expected to feature a cleaner and modified user interface compared to the Consumer Preview, which was released back in March. More on this as it breaks.
