Windows 10 for phone build 10070 leaked screenshots show interesting Live Tile changes

Several screenshots apparently from Windows 10 for phone build 10070 have popped up online and appear to show a change in the way Windows Phone Live Tiles are displayed, now with very little space between each tile. While admittedly a small change when compared to all of the other new features being introduced with the new operating system due to launch later this year, Live Tiles are an important aspect of Windows Phone and one that users spend a significant amount of time viewing or interacting with and are also prominently featured in all Windows Phone marketing campaigns. For many, Live Tiles are what sets Windows Phone apart from other devices.

The reduction in space between tiles could allow slightly larger tiles or create enough space to allow an extra row of Live Tiles on either side of the screen. The space between the Live Tiles could also be flexible depending on the Windows Phone device or even an option the user can control.

Naturally more information on the full functionality of Live Tiles will be confirmed as we get closer to the official launch of Windows 10 for phones. For now though, let us know what you think about this potential change in the comments below.
