According to the latest Microsoft statement, the latest News and Interest feature will soon start to roll out, and considering it’s been in the works for some time now, everyone is expecting the big moment.

Thanks to this feature users will be able to easily see the news and weather without opening other apps, not to mention the information is constantly updated.

Right now the news and weather widget is only available for Insiders and they were the only ones able to test out this feature that Microsoft is planning on releasing on the live market.

As you probably already know, this is not the only feature Insiders have had access to, as they could also test and try out the soon-to-be-launched My interests feature as part of the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21354.

News and interest feature

Time is the most valuable asset in today’s rapid changing world, so being able to see important information at a glance is a way of not wasting time navigating websites and searching for details.

Of course, as Microsoft states as well, rarely users stops after a few minutes of reading the news and so they find themselves in a circle process of checking that can last even hours:

What starts as a quick escape can often turn into a prolonged process. I might start the day by checking the weather before taking a quick look at some local news or breaking headlines. Of course, I need to then check yesterday’s Seattle Mariners score or their upcoming schedule. Many of these things change throughout the day, so eventually I check again… and again. Sound familiar?

One of the first things anyone is checking are the news and weather update so having them right there in the taskbar will be amazing.

Moreover, the information can be personalized and you can adjust which informations card you want to see and how the should look like.

If you only want to see technology and sports news then you can simply mark only these options and you can even choose from which publication you want to read them from.

As always, we would love to hear your thoughts on the subject, so don’t hesitate to leave us a message in the comments section bellow.
