The long-awaited Windows 10 Anniversary Update is now out in the wild, giving users the opportunity to test out the many new features Microsoft has been boasting about for months. The Anniversary Update brings huge updates and improvements that take the Windows experience to the next level. However, some Windows fans have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the Anniversary Update.

Lumia India announced that Windows 10 Mobile users would be able to install the Anniversary Update on their terminals on August 9.

@VinayRavipati Thanks for reaching out! For mobile, it will be available on August 9, 2016. If you have any queries, we’ll be here for you!

It appears that Microsoft wasn’t happy with Lumia India revealing the release date for the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 Mobile, as the respective tweet is nowhere to be found now.

Microsoft hasn’t offered any explanations as to why it postponed the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 Mobile. Taking into account Insider feedback, it appears the latest Windows 10 Mobile builds weren’t reliable and stable enough to be released to all users.

Indeed, Insiders reported many bugs every time Microsoft rolled out a new Windows 10 Mobile build, and the list of known issues only got longer. Insiders complained of phones freezing, crashing or rebooting when turning off Bluetooth, while many features remained unavailable on certain phone models.

Speaking of phone models, it appears that Microsoft can’t find a fix for the long list of issues plaguing Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL users: the glance screen doesn’t work and random restarts prevent users from using their phones exactly when they need them the most.

Taking into account all these elements, you shouldn’t be angry with Microsoft for not rolling out the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Mobile as well. The tech giant needs more time to find fixes for all the issues reported by Windows 10 Mobile Insiders. In earnest, we don’t think the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update can fix all the bugs pestering Windows phone owners, but we should at least appreciate Microsoft’s efforts.
