Freshpaint windows 8. 1

Microsoft’s widely popular FreshPaint app was recently made available to Windows Phone 8 users and now Microsoft has announced the availability of the same app for Windows 8.1, in preview form. The app for Windows 8.1 includes several new artistic features that is sure to make FreshPaint lovers happy.

“Today we are shipping a preview of Fresh Paint for Windows 8.1 in addition to the brand new Fresh Paint for Windows Phone which we just shipped on Monday. Since we launched with Windows 8 last year, Fresh Paint has inspired millions of people to pick up a brush and start painting. Now, we’re making Fresh Paint better than ever, with new mediums, new brushes, new, artistic photo filters, and a beautiful, updated user interface,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

FreshPaint for Windows 8.1 features colored pencils, small detail brushes for fine work, photo filters, simplified user interface, improved gallery, and Windows 8.1 integration. You can pin your paintings to the Start Screen as well as resume your projects faster than before. You can even add your favorite painting to the Lock screen.

Microsoft credits user feedback as the means of pushing and developing this app. Microsoft’s wildly popular and successful FreshPaint app made its debut on Windows 8 back in August of 2012, and was recently made available on Windows Phone 8.

Currently, the app is in the certification process on the Windows Store and should appear shortly. We will update this post when it becomes available.
