WhatsApp enabling group call feature on Windows Phone

Posted in:

Windows Phone might be dead, but some developers like Facebook are still updating their apps on the platform. The latest (via MSPoweruser), WhatsApp on Windows Phone is now getting a group call ability.

The feature is apparently linked to a server update, and it is slowly rolling out over the next few days. Once you see that the feature is available you can add up to 4 other people to any voice or video call by pressing on the (+) button. You can also control who you want to be added or not, and you can see an icon for each person added to the call.

WhatsApp on Windows Phone has picked up features over the last few months, and it is apparently even on its way to getting a new universal app on Windows 10.  You can download WhatsApp via the link below, and please feel free to let us know in the comments if you’re seeing this new feature too.
