Wells Fargo says goodbye to Windows Phone

Another long term banking app is finally shuttering on Windows phones. Wells Fargo has announced that it will be pulling support for its current app later this Fall (via Windows Central). The email being released to customers on the mailing list reads:

To focus on delivering exceptional digital experiences that our clients use the most, starting October 24, 2017, we will no longer support the Wells Fargo Mobile App for Windows phone. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

For fast and easy access to your accounts, you can continue to visit wellsfargo.com from your smartphone’s browser. Wellsfargo.com is optimized for use on your smartphone and provides a mobile-friendly experience.

It was only last year that Wells Fargo was one of the few banking apps to prove its loyalty to Windows phone by launching the Windows 10 Mobile application. Unfortunately, as more apps continue to pull away from Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft continues to be quiet about its intentions in the phone market.

The Wells Fargo app will continue to be on the Windows Store for download until October 24, 2017
