Rise of the Tomb Raider

Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb has taken to his website to announce a flurry of new Xbox One discounts as part of this week’s Deals with Gold and Spotlight Sales, with some notable  open-world heavyweights from last year.

Fans of sandbox gangster games who haven’t gotten hand on Grand Theft Auto V (not many fitting that description I think), should be happy to know that the original game is set at a 33% discount on the Xbox One at the moment, with the three other cards bundles being sold at 40%, 50% and 45% off their original prices respectively.

Those favoring some more adventurous flair in their games, and also strong female leads, can now have Rise of the Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider Delux at 10% discount as part of Spotlight sale. A critically acclaimed former Xbox One exclusive, Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to PC and the Windows Store next month, but if you own a Xbox One and somehow missed its biggest exclusive last year, there’s no reason to wait.

Providing yet a differently open-world flavor, this time in first-person shootapalooza in mystical Asian highland, Far Cry 4 and its Gold Edition on the Xbox One are on sale at a tasty 60% and 67% respectively as part of Deals with Gold. The highly-praised fourth entry in the Far Cry series stays true to its roots, being filled with beautiful scenery, intense gunfights, and a very likeable psychopathic main villain. Elsewhere, discounts on DLCs for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Dead or Alive 5, and a few indie games complete the Xbox One choice spectrum.
