This weekend, buy an Xbox One bundle and get an extra game free

Last month, Microsoft took an entire week to announced a slew of new Xbox One bundles in anticipation of the holiday season. We covered all the options in one place to help you compare the choices and narrow your decision.
And if you have been thinking about which bundle to get, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet, this weekend might be the time to make your way to the store. Microsoft announced today there will be an exclusive offer to get an additional game for free when you buy any new Xbox One bundle this weekend. The deal will be in effect at GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon and Target. The retailers will also be offering other bonuses, varying from free gift cards, controllers and other goodies when you buy a new Xbox One bundle.
Xbox Live’s Major Nelson provided more details on the retailers’ specific deals available this week and weekend. They include:

  • GameStop
    November 2-5: Get a free controller when you buy a new Xbox One.
    November 6-8: Buy any new Xbox One bundle. Get an additional game and a wireless controller free.
    Now – November 21: Get a $100 credit toward a new Xbox One when you trade in your PS3 (120GB+) or Xbox 360 (250GB+).

    November 1-5: Get a $50 Best Buy gift card when you buy a new Xbox One.
    November 6-7: Buy any new Xbox One bundle. Get an additional game and a $50 Best Buy gift card free.
    November 8: Buy any new Xbox One bundle. Get an additional game free.
