WatchESPN app brings all your sporting needs to Windows 8.1

WatchESPN app brings all your sporting needs to Windows Phone

With the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics now in full-swing, sports are on the mind of a lot of people. Just in time for the kick-off of that event, NBC brought its app to the Windows Phone platform, now it is being quickly followed by 24-7 sports network ESPN debuting on the computer side.

WatchESPN brings its large network to the Microsoft mobile platform. “With WatchESPN, you can watch SportsCenter, games big and small, catch up on the latest news, and more. For more on WatchESPN”, says the company’s Brandon LeBlanc.

This doesn’t just bring live, streaming video to your desktop or tablet, but also up-to-the-minute scores and breaking news. For streaming, it incorporates, not only ESPN, but also ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPNews and ESPN Deportes.

You still need to follow the tired old rule of verifying that you pay for a TV service provider — currently AT&T U-verse, Bright House, Charter, Comcast, Cox and Google Fiber are acceptable answers for this. The app is free from the Windows Store.
