Watch this: Day 1 of Microsoft's virtual developer event 'Connect'

Windows 10 wasn’t the only big headline yesterday. Microsoft unveiled Visual Studio 2015 along with .NET 2015 for developers. Visual Studio 2015 is available to download now in preview form, which allows developers to submit feedback to Microsoft and begin building applications with the new software. On top of that, Microsoft unveiled a new fully featured and FREE version of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Online.

All this took place during the company’s Connect (Day 1) conference. Connect is a new ‘virtual developer event’ that focuses on cloud-first, mobile-first, and code-first. The event has been streaming live and we have embedded the first day below for your viewing pleasure. The second day is taking place right now. You can learn about new products and services, and “gain further insight about the newest tools, frameworks, and services – ask questions and learn right from the engineers who built your favorite products.”

Check out the first day of Connect below. Keynote speakers include Scott Guthrie, S. “Soma” Somasegar, Brian Harry, and Scott Hanselman. The entire video embedded below is over six hours long, so grab some coffee and get started!
