VLC beta app for Windows Phone has been on a roll lately. Just last week, the app snagged a pretty huge update which introduced lots of changes in the user interface alongside a performance boost. And now, we have another update available for the app on the Windows Phone Store.
Bumping up the version number to 1.08, the new update brings “lots of bugfixes.” This is something Thomas Nigro, the developer of the app, had mentioned last week. While Nigro hasn’t offered any list of bugs he managed to fix in the latest update, from a tweet he posted last week, the v1.08 update was supposed to patch the little bug with TaskCompletionSource.
The last week’s update also offered a performance boost to the app for lower-end Windows Phone handsets. We are surmising that the new update only makes the app speedier on the said handsets. Regardless of the fix the new update provides, the aggressive update cycle does reflect Nigro’s dedication towards his app and Windows Phone ecosystem, in general.
Nigro also notes what his app will be getting with the version 1.09 update. According to him, it will bring “tiny cosmetic changes, bugfixes, and maybe algorithm improvements.” You can head over to the Windows Phone Store from the via link below to snag the latest version of VLC beta.App update, Microsoft, VLC, VLC for Windows Phone, Windows Phone
