Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a four-part episodic game inspired by World War 1 letters and resembling a graphic novel full of emotion and action. Your task is to solve puzzles and sneak through enemy lines in order to help your heroes survive the world’s first global war. You are in maze of trenches full of dirt and horror, and throughout the game you will experience various emotional states by playing each of these characters. You are never  alone in your quest as your canine friend, Walt, is following your every step.

In this desolate world, there is also a place for love. Help a young German soldier find love and you will see that even love can find a way to survive on the battlefield. The game takes you back to famous WW1 locations, allowing you to revisit historical battle fields on the Western Front.

The game supports 18 languages and is approximately 2.66 GB. In-app purchases are also available, ranging from $0.99 to  $9.99 for the episode 1-4 multipack. However, according to users, there is currently an issue with the in-app purchases:

Really good game. I hope it will get lots of popularity in WP store. But you should make better resolution, do something about control (it’s too slow) and fix the store bug. Even if I want to buy another chapter, I just can’t.

I really like this game. Played through the first free episode and was hooked. Wanted to buy all episodes at once. But the in app purchase is broken. Whatever I try it says I have no internet. Tried this on both PC and mobile with same results! Too bad!

If you are into modern warfare games, check out Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, as well. The trailer looks amazing!
