Two new entertainment apps, USA Now and Syfy Now, have arrived on the Xbox One today. Both the services are part of the NBC Universal network. Also, users will be able to watch full episodes of “Sharknado 2: The Second One” the day after it airs for free.
“Part of the goal of NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere initiative is to give consumers the opportunity to discover our content on a wide array of platforms,” said Alison Moore, EVP and GM of TV Everywhere. “Connected devices like Xbox One provide new ways for USA and Syfy fans to access the content they love in a whole new way.”
Using the apps, users will be able to watch episodes of USA’s and Syfy’s running and old hit shows. Which means that on USA Now, you can watch the current and old episodes of massively popular shows such as “Suits,” “Graceland,” “Covert Affairs,” “Royal Pains,”, as well as network’s original series including “Rush” and “Satisfaction.”
“The launch of Syfy Now and USA Now TV Everywhere apps adds a range of new TV shows and movies to Xbox One, including hit TV series, movies, behind-the-scenes video, original digital content and more,” said Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President, Xbox.
On Syfy Now, users will also be able to enjoy content beyond shows and movies. The network hosts hundreds of clips from last week’s “Defiance” panel at San Diego Comic-Con among others. More features will be added to the apps later this year.Further reading: USA, Xbox One
