US and Canada pre-orders for Lumia 650 now open

Microsoft has a good track record with low and mid range devices, the Lumia 650 fits that bill as a successor to the solid Lumia 640. People looking for a new phone can now pre-order the device in the US and Canada, as spotted by Windows Central. The device will ship on April 1st at the earliest.

The Lumia 650 has some big plusses and some drawbacks. In our review we noted the beautiful design, calling it possibly the best designed Lumia to date, but somewhat disappointing specs. You can check out the full review as well as our unboxing video to get a better idea of what the device is like.

The Lumia 650 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1280×720 screen, and 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a Micro SD card.

The device costs $199 in the US and $199 Canadian in Canada. If you’re looking for a low end handset with a very nice design it’s worth taking a look at the Lumia 650, but make sure to read our full review before making a decision between the Lumia 650 and other devices in its price range.
