This upscale Japanese department store has Surfaces alongside expensive men’s suits

Microsoft Surface Book is one amazing laptop, featuring top-of-the-line specifications on board. We’ve seen companies do all sorts of “different” marketing techniques to promote their products, and Microsoft is surely one of them.

The company recently took a spot in the upscale department store Isetan Men’s in Shinjuku, Tokyo, where the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are placed next to high priced fashion items (via Engadget). As you can see from the image below, the company has placed several Surfaces promoting a photo shoot image of a model.

It doesn’t really end here, there’s a digital “hologram” mirror in the store as well, which can be used by customers to see how good they look in a specific outfit in a 360 degrees view. The shop attendants scan you with a Surface and the platform handles the rest by spinning you in all possible angles to see how good the clothes look on you.

It’s definitely something interesting, and would be even more interesting if the company employ the same strategy in other markets, don’t you think?
