Microsoft just announced the brand new Lumia 650 yesterday, and while the handset is set to be available in retail in select European markets starting February 18, it’s already possible to pre-order it on the Microsoft Store in the UK, Germany, France and Italy.
However, we previously reported last week that UK third-party online retailer MobileFun was already listing the handset to pre-order at £199, and MobileFun is now announcing that the handset is due in stock in 2 days time and at a much lower £160, matching the £159.99 price of the UK Microsoft Store. In other currencies, you will have to pay $232.99 or €208.56 to get the Lumia 650, so it’s a little bit cheaper than the some European Microsoft Store listings (€229 in France and Germany, 239€ in Italy).
We remind you that the Lumia 650 is a Windows 10 Mobile handset equipped with 5-inch HD AMOLED display with Glance screen support, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD slot, an 8MP camera with autofocus and a 5MP front-facing shooter, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2,000 mAh replaceable battery.
We’ll have to wait and see if both MobileFun and Microsoft start shipping the Lumia 650 to customers this week, and we’ll do a review of the handset as soon as we can get our hands on it. In the meantime, please tell us in the comments if you plan to pre-order the Lumia 650!Further reading: Lumia 650, Microsoft, Windows 10 Mobile
