The top free, paid, and trending Windows Phone apps and games as of July 6th
Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store is home to plenty of top Windows Phone apps, with new apps coming in on a weekly basis. Let’s take a look at the Windows Phone Store and see which apps are at the top of the charts when it comes to the free, paid, and trending categories.
As of July 6th, the top five free apps in the Windows Phone Store are Nokia Creative Studio, Pandora, Facebook, Instagram BETA, and Adobe Photoshop Express. The top five paid apps are Movie Maker 8.1, myTube, Hot Tiles, OneMusic, and Metrotube. The top five trending apps are Adobe Photoshop Express, Just Yo, Comedy Central, Eventacular, and PhotoCollage.
The top five free games are Angry Birds Epic, 100 Balls, Piano Tiles Don’t Tap The White Tile, Rival Knights, and Traffic Racer. The top five paid games are Cut the Rope Exp, Angry Birds, Sonic CD, Super Tap Ultra, and Plants vs Zombies.

Adobe Photoshop Express (free) – At the Nokia’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in February this year, it was announced that Adobe Photoshop Express would be coming to Windows Phone. For all you Windows Phone and Photoshop fanatics, the app was just recently made available.
Adobe Photoshop for desktop computers is definitely the core application to post-process pictures and users who know that will be very happy to see their favorite app on Windows. Adobe Photoshop Express for Windows Phone features:

Just Yo (free) – The official Yo app has finally made its appearance on Windows Phone, after debuting on Android and iOS recently. The app is very simple and all you have to do is tap “yo” to communicate with those you care about. We’re not sure if they will appreciate you saying “Yo” to them, but you never know.
“The simplest and most efficient communication tool in the world. Yo is a single-tap zero character communication tool. Yo is everything and anything, it all depends on you, the recipient and the time of the Yo,” the app description reads.
Comedy Central (free) – The official Comedy Central app for Windows Phone arrived earlier this week. If you want to see the latest episodes of your favorite shows, such as South Park and The Daily Show, this app is a must-have. Best of all, the app is free. Comedy Central, for those that did not know, is an American based cable channel that carries various comedy programming.

Rival Knights (free) – Have you ever wanted to joust like a knight? Now you can with Gameloft’s latest release on Windows Phone. With Rival Knights, you can feel the rush of the medieval joust and crush your rivals in this fantastic and free game for Windows Phone.
You can challenge other players and ride your way to glory in the most realistic, accessible, and visually stunning game for your device. You can sharpen your skills with precision timing and aim, and fight against foes and rival clans across five leagues.
The game features motion-capture animations for knights and horses, which immerses you in battle like never before. You can also enjoy stunning 3D graphics, dynamic camera angles, and lifelike graphics. Plants vs Zombies ($4.99) – “Get ready to soil your plants! A mob of fun-loving zombies… A mob of fun-loving zombies is about to invade your home, and the only defense is your arsenal of plants. Use peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and more to mulchify 26 types of zombies before they reach your front door. The fun never dies,” the app description reads.
The popular Android and iOS game was recently made available to the Windows Phone platform. The game offers 50 adventure levels that vary between day, night, and fog, in a swimming pool, and on the rooftop. You must defend your home with 49 powerful perennials as you battle 26 types of fun-loving zombies including pole-vaulters, snorkelers and bucket-heads.
The game features Xbox Live support, and there are 15 in-game achievements to prove your zombie-zapping prowess.
Eventacular (free) – “Eventacular is app for you events. You can add events to the app and count down elegantly using this app. Set reminders, customize the event as you want, add multiple events, add voice reminders for each and more,” the app description reads.
This app lets you countdown events elegantly. Have an anniversary date coming up? Don’t want to forget it? Use this app to help you remember! The app also supports custom backgrounds which can be set from your camera roll. You can set a color to your counter and import events from your calendar. You can even export events from the app.
The app allows you to record voice memos for each event and you can save up to 2 minutes of audio recordings for each event. The app features a 4 digit pin/password for security and you can backup your data to OneDrive!
