The Wolf Among Us finally returns with sequel announcement from Telltale Games

For many, The Wolf Among Us was one of the first Telltale Games that drew us into the choice-driven titles. The spin-off of the Fables comic book series was one of the fan favorites, as evident by the huge amount of requests for Telltale to give them a sequel. Especially after that cliffhanger ending!

But the mystery left behind by Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, and friends was met with near silence from the Telltale Games staff. Earlier this year, head of communications Job Stauffer stoked the fires of the massive amount of theories that circled around the end of the first game. “Something I’ve always wanted to admit is that while we do have a clear answer to who was who at the end of that story… we had also agreed to keep it a mystery for the fans to ponder on their own,” he wrote in an Ask Me Anything session.

As if that wasn’t enough of a tease, Stauffer tweeted earlier this week to fans.

Unbeknownst to fans at the time, Stauffer wasn’t just spouting off public relations mumbo jumbo. The teaser trailer aired fittingly at Comic-Con 2017 revealed The Wolf Among Us 2.

Looks like the “handful of tweets” across the last three years have finally paid off and we’ll be seeing The Wolf Among Us Season 2 in 2018. In the meantime, Telltale fans can also look forward to Batman: The Enemy Within as a second season next month and The Walking Dead’s finale season next year.  As with all other Telltale Games titles, all of these are likely coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
