The new Skype Interviews Scheduler aims to help recruiters simplify the interview process

Microsoft has a new integrated scheduling app that aims to streamline the interview scheduling process.

Scheduling job interviews with multiple interviewers and candidates is a complicated and time-consuming task for any recruiter and the Skype Interviews Scheduler helps reduce the number of steps required to send an invite.

Built on the Skype Interviews platform, the Scheduler is easy to use. Launched earlier this year, Skype Interviews platform allows in-browser group video call and live code execution with syntax highlighting.

All you need to do is to sign in to Scheduler, click Schedule new interview, and then select the type of interview that is being scheduled. Once you input the candidate and interviewer’s name and email address, you can either enter an agreed-upon time and date for the interview, or select the Smart Scheduler—which will arrange the interviewer and candidate’s interview.

Once a timeslot is fixed, each participant is automatically sent a calendar invite, which they can click to join the interview directly from the email without the need for any download or Skype ID.

Recruiters can use the Skype Interviews dashboard to see what times candidates have selected and make further amendments to interviews if needed.

Microsoft is also looking for platform partners who want to integrate the Skype Interviews Scheduler functionality within their platform to make it part of their recruitment workflow via APIs.
