The J-RPG Scarlet Nexus joins Xbox Game Pass today

Microsoft is continuing to add more high-profile Japanese games to Xbox Game Pass, and Scarlet Nexus is the latest J-RPG to join the catalog today. The game was released on Xbox consoles and other platforms back on June 25, and it’s pretty cool to see it coming to Game Pass just three months later.

Scarlet Nexus is available on Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC, and Cloud, and it supports cross-saves across all platforms. “Scarlet Nexus’ stunning anime and science-fiction-inspired new-gen visuals can be enjoyed in stunning 4K resolution and smooth 60 fps to give you a gaming experience that’s optimized for Xbox Series X|S,” the Xbox Wire blog post reads.

Scarlet Nexus earned praise for its art style and combat system, with the two protagonists being able to combine classic weapon-based attacks with psychokinesis powers. Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment previously described Scarlet Nexus as a “brain punk” game, which is set in a dystopian world where all humanity has evolved to gain a more developed brain.

Microsoft revealed this latest addition to Xbox Game Pass earlier today during its Tokyo Game Show digital event, where the company also announced the expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming to Brazil, Mexico, Australia, and Japan this week. The company also showcased other games coming to Xbox Game Pass including Back 4 Blood, AI: Somnium Files, and Mighty Goose.
