The Deer God, this month’s first Games with Gold, is now available for free on the Xbox One for Xbox Live Gold members.
In this side scrolling game you live as a deer trying to survive in the wild amidst a hostile environment. As you run through the world you find secrets and solve puzzles using items you find and leveling up your antlers. The game describes itself as:

For those who are looking for an indie title with a fresh look that is far different from the usual AAA Xbox title, this month’s Games with Gold provides an interesting game concept with a dark and unique story line. The Deer God is available for free for the month of September for Xbox Live Gold members, and for $14.99 for those with a Xbox Live Silver members.
Don’t forget that if you have an Xbox 360 and are Xbox Live Gold member, you can claim Xbox One Games with Gold titles as well. Which is handy in case you ever want to upgrade to an Xbox One down the line and have a library of games (in addition to backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles) ready to go on day one.
